Todd's Company Has Grown Into One of the most respected high-end manufacturers in the motorcycle aftermarket that will actually work with their customers on custom-made components. Like a lot of companies, Billet-4-U actually started in the Mattesons' family garage with some machines that his father-a machinist in the aerospace industry-had collected over the years. From a very young age, Todd honed his skills working on manual machines that took up so much space that the family cars had to be left in the driveway. And when he was old enough to build his first motorcycle, he decided that he was going to build as many of the parts for the project as he could with his own two hands and the skills he had developed on a bunch of outdated machines that he loved.
His very first bike, simply known to his friends as "The Red Bike," was a hit, and a lot of the people who got to see it up close started asking about all of the custom parts. So Todd started building small parts for his friends' bikes, and before long he was carving out copies of the open-primary drive that he had built for "The Red Bike," and Billet 4-U was born.

In fact, this is the second shop that they have been in since 1994, because they quickly outgrew their original location by upgrading their machinery.
